Partner profiles

Bev Kelley FCA


Bev is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in accountancy practice. She qualified in October 1994 and was admitted as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) in October 1995. She gained a great depth of experience with our predecessor firm, working very closely with small businesses and their owners, building long-standing relationships, which continue today.

She is the firm’s Senior Statutory Auditor and particularly adept at dealing with HMRC enquiries.

She is also a qualified dance teacher and runs adult classes in her spare time!

Stephen Lowe ACA FCCA


Stephen qualified with The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1999 and was admitted as an ACCA member in 2000. He has gained huge experience with four Kent practices specialising with the accounting and tax affairs of small and medium sized businesses for over 25 years, before joining Bev in December 2006.

Away from the office, he can be found walking or cycling the Kent countryside or enjoying a game of rugby – from the sidelines. Other interests include travel, theatre and classic cars.

Jan Watts


Jan is the Practice Secretary at Kelley and Lowe. She has been the heart of our business, our central hub of organisation and information since October 1999. She has been involved in the profession for over 45 years and has a superb understanding of the administrative aspects, particularly dealing with HMRC, as well as a memory second to none!

Suzanne Berwick


Suzanne has almost 35 years bookkeeping and payroll exerience, joining the firm in January 2000. She carries out our in-house bookkeeping, payroll and VAT functions, as well as those of many of our clients. Suzanne enjoys travel, theatre and a variety of sports.

Gemma Lane FCCA


Gemma qualified as a Certified Accountant in June 2005 and joined Kelley & Lowe in September 2007. As a working mum, she is in the office from Monday to Wednesday and assists with all aspects of accounts production, audit and taxation assignments.

Gemma Malt MAAT


Gemma is our “Semi Senior”. She joined the firm in September 2005 straight from school and has recently qualified as an “AAT” technician. She is now studying for her “Chartered” qualification. Gemma has learned an enormous amount in all areas of practice and can help, especially with bookkeeping and systems problems, for which she has a particular flare.

Ben Sparkes


Ben joined us in July 2007 as a “Junior Trainee Accountant”. He is studying AAT “Accounting Technician” qualifications and has gained really good knowledge of everything that goes on in the practice. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Ben.
